I'm creating a PPT and when I insert a picture (from a file). They appear a little bit blurry or soft around the edges. I saved these images from Photoshop as a JPEG (@ 12 maximum quality, 72 dpi). Even if I make them 96 dpi they still look the same.

An ideas? Is GIF or TIFF better? Or is it just a matter of needing higher resolution images (ie. 300 or so). In PS the images look nice, but in PPT they get blurry and soft.

Presuming you're using Office 2004:

Do your images at a higher resolution in Photoshop and in PowerPoint change the preferences.

Preferences>Save>Save slides as graphics files>Advanced resolution settings.

Try anywhere 180-600ppi.
