iMessage crash when I try to join more than 4 images

Hello everyone,

I have an 14 Pro Max. Every time I try to attach more than 4 photos in iMessage, the application crashes. I am on iOS 16.1.2.

Is this a bug of iOS 16?

I regularly send multiple pictures or videos (6 or more) via iMessage with no issue.

Could be an hardware issue?

I don’t see how, but it is odd indeed.
Is it a specific set of four images, or any four images will cause a crash? How about four videos?
Is there anything specific about the files or sizes?
Maybe try a Reset All Settings.
