iMovie 10 Zooms Into Clips

I am running iMovie 10.1.10 on Mojave 10.14.6. Whenever I split a video clip -- not a still -- iMovie is zooming in the resulting clip to the left. Any suggestions?

The clip has shake reduction turned on which will crop the clip to minimize the shake. Have you tried turning that off?
