I have iMovie 10.1.12 installed on High Sierra 10.13.6. Its the last version that runs on High Sierra.

EVERY time I open iMovie it will crash unless I Opt-Cmd-open and delete the Preferences file. I cannot update High Sierra at this time.

Any ideas?

I've also deleted and reinstalled iMovie from the app store and create a new library with the Opt key startup. Those moves at least allowed me to start the program at all. I really dislike this program. Feels like it was developed by Apple interns. But I got what I paid for (free).
