i moved from android to iPhone last year. from the start my contact list in iPhone is completely dependent on me being signed into my gmail account, when i sign out of my gmail account all contacts disappear from my iPhone.
i primarily use iTunes via a USB cable connected to my computer for backup and do regular backups figuring the contact list appearing in the iPhone at the moment would backup in iTunes.
i recently got the new SE and did a restore from iTunes but same thing, when i sign out of gmail all contacts disappear except the few i entered manually in the iPhone.
i would like the contact list to reside on the iPhone itself and not be dependent on a gmail account.
this is very frustrating, any advice will be appreciated.
