Instagram app appears like ghost

Hello! It happens that the Instagram app on my boyfriends iphone 12 appears to be "grey", like if the app wans't downloaded on the phone..it caught my attention beacuse thats make me think he blocked the access to the app or something like that, how can you do that??

He's probably got Offload Unused Apps enabled. Check General > iPhone Storage or App Store for that setting.
