Here's a video showing my problem.
Installer.app began behaving like this after the last update I did to it in early May. I open it, it says 'Checking sources...', then 'Refreshing sources...', then immediately exits and shows the home screen.
My iPhone is on firmware 1.0.2 (1C28). It's activated but not unlocked because I live in Japan where there's only 3G so there's no point in me unlocking it yet.
Everything else seems to be working normally as before the Installer.app update.
I guess the version of Installer.app doesn't support such an old firmware. Should I just update it? If so, to which firmware version? Which method is best these days?
Thanks for any help.
