Tested.

1. I downloaded
2. I clicked Update/Install after download
3. Restart
4. App store indicated the Update button again
5. I clicked Update again
6. I downloaded again
7. I clicked Update/Install after second time download

This said. I needed two times to download 1,5GB

The .DMG Combo Update images were a great invention.
