Any smart alecs know what this actually turns off?
Just checking it doesn’t turn off any security features.

chflags restricted /V*/*/private/var/db/KernelExtensionManagement

Intego recommend running this until Apple issue a fix.

Does anyone know if you can boot into recovery from another disk to activate this command? I have another Mojave clean install on another drive which has a recovery partition.

edit:My system disk does have a recovery partition.

For reference it took about 10 mins for Recovery screen to appear, then was able to enter Terminal commands. Virusbarrier back running normally...... :p

I'm running Big Sur OS11 on my MacBook Pro (Intel). The Terminal fix has no effect whatsoever.

Works fine in Mojave.
Have you checked the Intego forums, for Big Sur issues?

There have been a couple of updates recently, which are Big Sur related, are you up to date?
You have to do the terminal commands from recovery.

Yes, silly me. I hadn't noticed the most recent update. or thought it would be automatic. Seems to be fixed now.
