Was messing about with the Mac (which I probably shouldn’t - I know!), and now I am stuck on the “An internet connection is required to verify this startup disk. Connect to the internet or select a different startup disk.“ message when booting up the Mac.

The Mac Mini is an Intel 2018 version with Ventura installed. Is there a way for me to boot up the Mac without having to go into recovery mode which will reinstall Ventura; or do I now need to go through this process?

If I chose to reinstall Ventura, will I lose all my data and previously installed applications?

Have you connected the computer to the internet? You’d need to do that in order to get the reinstall to work too.
Normally, no, reinstalling the OS will not cause you to lose your data.

Contacted Apple Support and ended up being no option but to erase and start again.
