Internet issue

I have installed xp pro on my macbook pro and have had a hell of a time installing all the drivers. But now I can not connect to the internet. someone help me. My network connections show an active connection but it is not receiving or sending any packets. what do i do now?

If you are using Parallels then you will need to allow Internet Connection Sharing in OSX. Appart from that I have no idea.

well i am using boot camp. so right now i pulled up my device manager in the windows portion and it is telling me that the eathernet device drivers are not installed properly. and that it is not functioning. i have had a fatal error -1663 everytime i tried installing my macintosh drivers cd on the xp side. wtf do i do?
