I assume youre talking about the orangepeel effect of invisible shields. Head on, you cant really see the effect, but at an angle its apparent.

Except for a few weeks of the anti-glare I used the invisible shield for a year and thought it was great. (Won't scratch, stays put.) But after upgrading phones, I used a crystal shield that came with a case and I am loving the lack of tacky texture. Visibility wasn't really noticeable with the IS, but the feel was.
