I can't make IORegistryExplorer to work in Big Sur on cMP5,1. It just hangs and stops responding. It works fine in all previous MacOS versions. Can someone confirm/deny please? :

IORegistryExplorer (version 2.1) seems fine in Big Sur (11.0.1).
I wonder what can cause the hang here. Hackintool hangs too. I tried booting directly from the Apple Bootpicker without OC and it has the same issue.

Big Sur is relatively clean, and no USB patch via OpenCore, right?

I found the issue guys. Some time ago my upgraded Bluetooth/WIFi module stopped recognizing the Bluetooth. Wifi was working fine. I just disconnected the connector with the 2 power leads from the logic board feeding the Bluetooth module. Now all those freezing applications started working as designed.
Edit:
And/Or the Bluetooth USB dongle. I plugged it back ON and those apps froze on start. Removed the dongle and they started. It is interesting that when the apps have started I can re-plug the USB dongle and they work fine (except IOregistryExplorer which hangs again). So some apps only hang on start when that USB Bluetooth dongle is plugged in.

I moved the USB dongle to my USB 3 hub and no more freezing. Apparently all this is related to the same USB issues in Big Sur.

Just checked the wires on the plug for the Bluetooth pcie card and they were loose. Pushed them in the connector and back to the logic board. Now the internal bluetooth is running and the apps do not freeze. It was definitely that USB bluetooth dongle when the internal bluetooth USB was disconnected. @cdf until the USB issue in Big Sur is fixed we have to find a way to properly re-map the USB's when spoofing another model.
