iOS 10 and Apple Watch Help

I updated to iOS 10 and my watch wasn't connecting. Opened the Apple Watch app and it tells me that I would have to delete everything off the Apple Watch in the settings on the watch. Once completed I am now trying to pair my watch and it will not pair with the camera or my phone will not allow me to put in the code it gives me. My watch is not on wOS 3 it is still on wOS 2.
