First post doesn't allow editing, but the kernel is the same as Beta 3 (not sure what Beta 4 was), 17.7.0: Tue Jun 12 20:37:30 PDT 2018; root:xnu-4570.70.24~9\/RELEASE_ARM64_T8015

Album playback via Siri on Apple Watch still not working :-(

No, because it only began after 11.4, and 11.4.1 beta 4 restored artist and song playback via Siri on Apple Watch.

It is when playing musically locally from the iPhone; not music stored locally on Apple Watch.

Not necessarily the case. That letter is just an indicator of which version of that particular build. Not really an indicator that its a final or not. They could release this one.

For example iOS 11.3 beta 6 was build 15E5216a but 11.3 released as 15E216, dropping the '5' (beta indicator)and the 'a' (version of build indicator). Anyway these last few have been very close in build numbers so we may not see another beta but never know these days and there may be a few more.

False Alarm!
Please disregard.
Turns out my head unit had siezed and required a sofware reboot.
Just happened to happen at same time I plugged in after last night’s update.
Apologies.


CarPlay music stopped working. Head unit recognizes connection and displays track information BUT fails to respond to pressing “play” button. Haven’t checked other features. Note: CarPlay was working lastnight BEFORE this update.

Maps is working fine.
Navigation of ‘phone’s iTunes also works fine.
Only issue is that pressing play, although registering, is almost immediately ignored.

BAM! So beta 5 was the final after-all
15G5077a turned into 15G77.
