Beta 8 and the Mail App is still dead. I wouldn’t be surprised if the app wouldn’t work fine until the GM

Came across the weirdest thing by pure chance earlier. The dark mode icon is a dead ringer for the Concord company logo, with the exception of its black border:

Never cared for it anyway from a UI perspective. Reported, just for the heck of it.

Changes so far in 13 are appearing to push iOS further from the “intuitive” camp.
[doublepost=1566834886][/doublepost]Have my IPP on PB7 and it was sitting next to a buddies IPP on 12.4, Saw something interesting.

IPP on 12.4 on the left, IPP on 13PB7 Dark Mode on the right. In landscape. Notice the margins :confused:o_O

Argh!! Took phone off charger this morning. Charged to only 56%. Should be 100. Then I checked battery health. Says 95% capacity. Uh, it was still at 100% capacity just 2 days ago!!

Not pleased.
How old os your phone? Chances are it really is around 95% capacity. The battery health setting is just an approximation... it‘s no direct health reading. It‘s not instant and calibrates itself every now and then, your launch day phone is not going to be at 100% anymore a year in fyi.
Don‘t read too much into it. Apple should‘ve never added a percentage cause you can‘t reliably display one. People get stressed over their organic material batteries degrading... which is what is supposed to happen until manufacturers get their **** together and start focusing on battery technology to replace the current one.

Beta has nothing to do with it. Batteries age overtime and iOS sometimes detects this percentage wrong. This is why it jumped.

Yeah that’s a definite lawsuit waiting to happen. They’d lose, too.

On the contrary I’d say no. From Apples side it’s a system icon, not a commercial symbol or anything like that. Also, you don’t know if it’s registered or not by the other part. The surrounding “ring” is also missing in Apples system icon.

Anyone else have perpetually darkened dynamic wallpaper (the moving bubbles) since iOS/iPadOS 13 public beta 2? It looks hideous, like they're run through an darkened orange filter and it can't be turned off. I hope this is a bug and not a feature.

Edit: Finally saw this as an existing issue in iOS 13 Beta 6. Says darkened bubbles never return which is partially true but they're still run through an ugly darkening filter.

Does anyone else have iPad Pro (11”) apps sometimes launching in weird, squished resolutions, then eventually correcting themselves to become full screen? I’ve had it through the last few betas.

There's also no real likelihood of confusion. No one is going to see Apple's Dark Mode Icon and wonder if it's associated with Concord.

I think iOS 13.0 Beta 8 might be the last beta. Since the build number ends with 13.0 (17A5572a) looks like we are just waiting for gold master version

So is developer beta 8 the same as public beta 7? Or is it actually one build behind?

Not sure how the PB’s work, as I’ve always only done the dev versions. But PB sounds much easier to install.

It has to be the last beta because public beta testers were forced to upgrade to 13.1 beta 1. I don’t see how they could release the GM to beta testers when 13.1 is higher up than 13.0. Unless the public will end up getting 13.0, with all the bugs with the mail app. I’m sure that will go well.

With the long press gesture I keep inadvertently activating hyperlinks and contextual menus when I'm simply scrolling. There doesn't appear to be a way to disable it. Settings in Accessibility > Touch have no effect on it.

I must be "scrolling wrong."
