Just update ipad Air 3. Everything is normal, same with 14.8

Yeah me too, two or three times.

I restarted the iPad and I think it worked on the second attempt.

Hi all. I was having the same problem repeatedly, then I noted that my iPhone (6S) had only about 2 GB free.
I saw from https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250003031
"You must have at least 5 GB of free storage (for iOS 14)"
I freed up 5 GB and it installed. The installation itself only takes up 342.9 MB FWIW.

What specific issue? Are you sure your battery isn't just in need of replacement?

It's brand new, from iFixit. I calibrated it as they suggested. Definitely worse battery performance than iOS 14.7 for me.

I doubt Apple will be fixing any bugs unless they are related to security issues. Apple is only committing to giving occasional security updates for 14.5 and higher.
