Pretty sure they will release it like last year iOS 15.7Is there going to be iOS 16.7 at all? Do any beta experts want to chime in? Please advise
There will probably be an option of ios 17.0 or ios16.7
JMO but I think we will get 16.6.1 on 8/15 and the RSR on the 29th. The last 2 updates before we transition into 17
I would not "plan" on an RSR. It's clearly intended as a way to quickly deploy security fixes as needed, allowing for simple patching of existing code rather than loading a complete, new OS image onto the flash.
If they use it, it'll be because of a newly discovered vulnerability that they feel is necessary to fix before the next release and also meets the criteria to be patched in place, rather than updating the entire OS image.
I think it’s more likely that they don’t want anyone on 16.6 going back to 16.5.1 which may have an unpatched vulnerability.
Past year iOS 15.7 was released on September 12th, so I guess we’re probably getting iOS 16.7 beta 1 next Tuesday. And maybe 16.6.1 at some point during the next two weeks.
Seems kinda late for pushing out 16.7 now? Rumor has the iPhone 15 announcement to be on Sept 13th.
16.6 was released July 24th, so now its more likely that you would see a 16.6.1 release sometimes before that.
On the contrary, if we stick to the past year scheme, iOS 15.7 was released in the form of RC just after the iPhone 14 event, September 7th. Maybe this year we get another major release for iPhone 8, 8 plus and X.

It's possible 16.7 could still happen as that is not at all attached to iPhone 15 products and that release time frame. Just been super quiet on that from since 16.6 release.
Yes Season 2 looks to be equally as entertaining to watch from preview.
Yes I think it is. Happened to me stay until about 9pm, when it finally worked.
right this minute luckily I don't have anything to update. But it won't even show that my phone is up to date it just spins in circles and then says error. I have they fix this before 16.6.1 comes out
If this problem doesn't fix I'm probably going to be forced to buy a different phone
Sometimes it does this. Not the end of the world, as no update out. Sure will be fine when you get an update
