I just upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 8.2 and now when I sync with iTunes 12.1.0.50 on OS/X 10.10, I get the message "The iPad "iPad" could not be synced because the connection to the iPad was lost.". It starts to sync and goes through a few preliminaries but fails. I'm using a USB cable on a rMBP that has always worked previously. The iPad isn't named "iPad", so I don't know where that message is coming from, but it fails overtime, even after a reboot of both devices.
