I'm still sort of disappointed HomeKit needs MFi-Certification :( (meaning the vendors need to implement an MFi-chip in their hardware for it to work with HomeKit).

That basically renders all existing stuff useless for Homekit and closes the doors for those who build their own stuff (e.g. with a raspberry pi)
