iPhone IOS7 apps on IOS6 - editing plist

Hi,

First time posting so hopefully in the right area.

I have an Iphone 3GS and is updated to 6.1.6. I have downloaded plist editor pro and have extracted the info.plist file with winrar for the facebook app i would like on my phone.

I have edited all the minimum versions IOS in the plist editor to 6.0 instead of 7.0 or 8.0. Then i saved it and put it back into the facebook app files on winrar. Now when i go to download the app to my iphone with itunes it still says i need to have the more recent software update.

So now, what should i do?
