Just a random thought. You know how, when you go to delete something on your device, that thing is permanently deleted from your phone's memory, unless you redownload it to your device? Well, what if instead, all that data was earmarked for deletion and uploaded to a server that would then keep that data for up to 30 days, allowing you to redownload that data within that time period by going into a "Recycle Bin" app?

You can do that now by restoring your iCloud backup

Losing about a day's worth (assuming you back up about every night) of new photos, new messages, new e-mails, call lists, added calendar events, installed apps etc. etc. to retrieve one photo seems quite counterproductive.

Using a service like Dropbox pretty much solves the problem though, as they do keep deleted files and you can retrieve them by logging into your account from the website.
