iPad iOS9 Public Beta install crashed, now stuck

I'm stuck in an odd situation. I downloaded the iOS9 public beta OTA and during the installation (on the white screen with the apple logo) the install stopped midway and I restarted the iPad. Upon restart, it showed the black screen with the plug into iTunes logo. I've tried plugging it in and downgrading to 8.4, as well as DFU mode back to an IPSW file for 8.4 but no luck... I keep getting "error occurred (56)"

Any recommendations on what I could try now?

As an update, I ended up downloading the IPSW file for Beta 3 and using DFU mode for that which finally worked.
