iPad iPad 3 performance on 7.1.2?

How does it perform on the latest firmware? Im still on 5.1.1 and i guess i either update now or never. Is it snappier than 7.0.x, and bellow?

UI is responsive, no noticeable lag if not in some animations, for example when selecting an app from the active apps list. However, the OS is stable, and there aren't major issues.

If you do upgrade to iOS 7, can you post your experiences here, please? My iPa 3 is on iOS 6 and I'm reluctant to upgrade but also curious about how well it'll run.
