Hi,

About to take my smart case (cost: £65!) back because the top edge and corners have gone loose and soft.

Is this just a common problem with leather or a problem with the case itself?

I appreciate some don't like the case, but for me I really liked it up until this point :(

After nearly a year, mine has too. It starts to come off when I hold the iPad. It's done a great job of protecting it though, and a year is not too bad given the use and miles it's covered...

I've had Apple's leather smart cases for both an Air and rMini for a year and they aren't showing any looseness. It could be your specific case was always a tad off from day 1 due to a manufacturing anomaly, and it's just now becoming a problem. It could also be the way you hold the case. Every baseball mitt breaks in differently.
