I have over 200 or so iphone apps, and I am trying to figure out which ones will have free upgrades or basically be free since I am getting my Ipad...

is their a list for this? If not, start posting the apps here.

This is the first time I've heard you can get the iPad version of an app if you already have the iPhone version. Do you have any source info on this??

He must be referring to apps that have been updated to Universal versions that have both the iPhone and iPad versions in one.

I don't know if there is a genuine official list anywhere, but for me these apps updated for free:

Instapaper Pro
ComiXology
Marvel Comics
iVerse Comics
Wordpress
Pandora Radio
PCalc Lite Calculator
Dragon Dictation
Wolfram Alpha
Delivery Status
Flight Track

Then there are the iPhone apps with free iPad-only versions:

AIM for iPad
Dictionary.com for iPad
eBay for iPad
Twitterrific for ipad

LogMeIn Ignition updated for free to support iPad. That is one I am really looking forward to as the iPhone was was a bit slow (I assume due to processor speed) and also it was really a pain to use on such a small screen.

On the iPad, it will be like using a regular Macbook pretty much, though of course slower.

It didn't work for Mondo Top 5 Solitaire. But, there was a price difference so maybe that's why I was charged for the iPad version. I noticed a price difference with Enigmo too. After what happened with Mondo Top 5 Solitaire I was afraid to pull the trigger for the iPad version of Enigmo so I left that one alone
Looks like you don't know if it will work (not being charged for the iPad version when you own the iPhone version) until you download it and then it's too late.

TabToolkit - a premium guitar tab viewing, downloading and database keeping app. I wouldn't have thought a $9.99 iPhone app would give up a free ipad version for owners of the iPhone app, but they did. I'm very excited!!! I hope they do the same for guitartoolkit
