I've waited through a handful of recent software updates to see if this would get fixed, but with the update to 16.4 this week it's still an issue ... so, when iBooks is open to your shelf & Apple's suggestions, there's an icon in the upper left hand corner that is supposed to take you to the bookstore ... however whenever I click on it, the app closes (crashes). At first I though, hmmm, this muct be how you close the app now a'days, but finding no other way to get to the bookstore, I no longer think this is the case. I have to purchase a book on my phone & then it will appear on bookshelf on the ipad. Surely this is not as Jobs intended ...
