Seems like the customers have spoken? Or are all holding out for the LTE version?

Seems like everyone who wanted one pre-ordered, exactly enough for it to sell out... hmm. Either that or all the people snapping this baby up like hotcakes are holding out for the LTE version. Either than or ppl just don't care.

I'm personally holding out for LTE version but I don't think thats why sales or initial pandemonium is lower. I think most people who wanted an affordable small tablet has already bought one. And those who are die hard apple fans, well... we all have an ipad already.

THANKS for including all the different launch links around the world.

It's a weird situation.

Apple really slipped up with coming out with a fourth generation iPad only six months after releasing the last one. I'm all for the advancement of technology, but even people who buy the newest iPad every year may hold back on this release. Also, none of the new features even warrant a replacement. I'm sure the biggest number of buyers will be people who don't already have an iPad.

As for the iPad mini, it looks like a great device. I'm excited to get one myself. As you mentioned, I'm holding out for the LTE model. However, after the Apple shoved the awesome retina technology down our throats I think a lot of people are turned off by the fact it has a 'inferior screen'. Retina laptops, retina iPhones, retina iPods. I feel like they really shot themselves in the foot.

In the end, they will still sell boatloads. The current online stock is sold out for weeks.
