iPad os 17.3.1 multitasking

iPad os 17.3.1 has allowed me to disable multitasking – Settings> Multitasking and Gestures.

I am a senior citizen and prior to updating to 17.3.1 Split View and Slide Over had been an utter nuisance.

That option has been available for years, but yes, it can be valuable for people who don't want to, or can't, work with the multitasking system on iPads.

Multi-tasking could not be disabled from settings in versions of iPad OS 15 and 16. Multi-tasking was integral to iPadOS15/16 - both of which simplified its use and introduced new features and controls - see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254416779?sortBy=best

You are right. It was an option to disable back in iPadOS 13 and 14, though so presumably it was restored in 17.0.

This is amazing! I just learned about this for some reason. This great feature has not been discussed at all. Multitasking on the iPad is horrible, finally they allow us to turn this crap off again
