Hello,

Almost 1 month ago, I decided to buy an Apple Ipad Pro directly on the apple store website.

After the long and anxious wait, I received it today, however not in the condition that I expected.

This is my second product from apple and taking into account its price I thought that I would receive an absolute 100% perfect product.

However, my Ipad have some tiny scratches on the back. It is an engraved Ipad.

I noticed also some particules/dust on the camera.

Is this normal?

I would not expect to receive a new IPP with scratches. Because this is a personalized product, you'll need to contact Apple Support to ask about your options so you can decide whether to return it or not.

Do you have Applecare? That should make the replacement experience a lot smoother.

An Applecare warranty claim isn't needed to return an item; it's covered under the return/refund policy. The OP only received the IPP today so has 14 days. The only caveat in Apple's return policy about personalized items is about exchanges: "Personalized items and custom-configured Macs may not be eligible for exchange at an Apple Store."

Also: "Items ordered online from Apple that arrived damaged or are incorrect can be returned to any U.S. Apple Store, or by contacting Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775."

Since the engraving isnt done by apple someone or something has to move it to another location from assembly which may cause the issue to occur again. 1. Return and rebuy without engraving ensuring no marks or 2. Re order and engrave an take the gamble just know its a third party company that engraves apples products. Finally 3. Refund and move on. Cheers

Are the scratches/marks only on the antenna band? I find those very common on new iPads and don’t bother me personally, but if it troubles you, then return/exchange it. But I think you’re likely to get another one with some as well.

Is there any damage to the rear camera module besides the dust, which I presume is removable?
