I really did t want the iPP's back to go naked and get scratched up.

Try a "skin" from skinomi. Got one for my air 2 which makes it basically naked with scratch protection and better grip. That and a Smart Cover and you're good. Really enjoying the naked lightness. Plan to do same with IPP with smart keyboard. Want IPP to be as light as possible and even the silicone cover I have no as temporary protection is too much.
