I recently got an Air 5 64GB and noticed this. If I hold it up to the light with the screen off it looks like the LCD panel under the glass (or the bottom of the glass itself) is slightly wavy just at the top and bottom edges. You can tell by seeing any reflection bend like a circus mirror.

I've tried to show it in this video (excuse the auto focus), it almost looks like a crease. Look at the reflection of the tree, it bows or distorts as it gets to the edge but is perfect further down.

Not sure what's going on, maybe the lamination process? Can anyone else see this on their own iPad, is this a defect?

I don't think they are laminated. the iPad is literally just a piece of glass adhered to an LCD
