When I flick scroll on the iPad, while it is still scrolling, I swipe horizontally. Instead of moving horizontally/diagonally, all the iPad does is stop scrolling. I then have to lift my finger off the screen and perform the gesture again to scroll horizontally. I've tried the same thing on the 3GS and it works as desired, changing from a vertical movement to horizontal/diagonal movement. It seems as if the iPad is misinterpreting a horizontal swipe as a stationary tap of the screen. Is anyone else having this problem? Trying to figure out whether it's a problem with the screen Or a bug in the software.
