All iPads IPad SD card reader - Able to delete photos or only upload them?

I know the lightning to SD card reader allows you to download photos from an SD card. Does is allow you to delete photos on the card? Also, does it work with both raw and jpeg format?

Yep you can delete/remove the photos, I heard it supports RAW but haven't tried it myself. iPhoto for iOS supports RAW so that adapter must be the only way to get them on there.
