Guys, I've suspected for quite some time that the brightness level on my 11 is not bright enough.

I've got the auto-brightness setting on and also the true tone setting on.

Today my wife got her iPhone XR. Her screen brightness was so much brighter than mine. I checked her settings to mine and they are identical.

Has anyone else noticed or heard of a brightness issue on their iPhone 11?

Here's a pic to show the difference. Guess which one is the 11 and which is the XR!

The phone on the left has brightness at about 25% but the phone on the right has it at about 75%…am I missing something here?

Just to clarify: auto-brightness is a relative setting, not an absolute setting. It adjusts the screen brightness from where you last set it, according to the change in ambient light from when you you last set it.
Not sure if you realize this.
If you want to compare phone screen brightnesses, set them both to 100%

Thanks guys.

I've now increased the brightness on my to about 50% and have kept auto-brightness and True tone on.

So am I right in thinking that auto brightness will adjust the screen to my new brightness ettinf?

Night sift kicks in after 10pm and I have the slider for that set in the middle.
