Guys, I've been away from the iPhone scene since buying my iPhone 11 and need your help please.

I now need a new phone and have my eyes on a iPhone 12 Pro Max. But am worried that the larger size of the 12 Pro Max might be just a little too big. Has anyone had experience of moving between these sizes?

Also, what are the differences between the iPhone 12 and 13 model ranges? Does the 12 have wireless charging etc?

Should I spend more on a 13???

12 series is only series phone that I have used all sizes. I have iPhone 12 mini, Regular iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max (512GB).

While I enjoying use iPhone 12 Pro Max for the big screen, it is still to big and too heavy. However, I still use iPhone 12 Pro Max because of how good battery runtime is.

I won't even consider iPhone 12 mini or 13 mini, given how small the battery was when at new.

Regular size iPhone will be the sweet spot, if you don't want big and heavy iPhone 12 Pro Max

Thanks Aoligel. I also just read another post here which said something similar.

And what are the major differences between the iPhone 12 pro and 13 pro?

The 13 Pro has a bigger battery, better camera system and the display supports ProMotion but the 12 Pro is lighter (almost the same dimension and weight as the 15 Pro).

I honestly can't tell the difference between iPhone 12 Pro screen and iPhone 13 Pro. There is no noticable different between 60Hz or 120Hz.

The gaps in price difference is big enough to make me choose iPhone 12 Pro over iPhone 13 Pro. For reference, I am still using Pixel 4 as my secondary devices for my work purposes.

The choice would be between 12 pro and 13 pro if price difference not too much 😁

As far as I know, here in Canada. iPhone 12 Pro can be obtained in second hand market for little over 600 and iPhone 13 Pro is around 700-800. I would go for iPhone 12 Pro if price is around 600.

I disagree, I could see the difference.
But the iPhone 12 Pro still feels like a high-end smartphone and it supports Apple ProRAW which not even the iPhone 15 (non Pro) does.

The iPhone 8 has wireless charging and every iPhone newer than that does including your 11.

But if you mean MagSafe specifically then the 13 does have support for universal Qi2 charging that the 12 does not. This lets you get higher compatibility and faster charging speeds.

Thanks guys for the helpful replies.

@paddie1 I had no idea my 11 has wireless charging.

From what you guys have said, bar finding an immaculate cheap as chips 13, it's a 12 for me.
