I have an iphone 14 plus, that's 50 days old. Bought in early August 2023.

I use the apple official cable and charger.
And i do normal usage of it. I am Charging it about every other day (and try to stay between 20% and 80 %)

Few days ago, On Sep 29 2023, battery health dropped to 99%.
In less than two months.

I dont like it.

I read it has happened to some other iphone 14 users too.
Un acceptable.
I look arround and no one else has had such a rapid battery health drop, as iphone 14.

Apple, better start, a battery replacement program fast.

So it has gone down to 99% in 50 days?

And you're mad?

Why?

If you're so worried then buy AppleCare (if you still can). If you have a bad battery then Apple will replace it.

Anything above 80% capacity is 100% normal. If you've dropped 1% in 50 days then you have another 950 days before it hits 80%. Perfectly acceptable if you ask me.

In general, the older and longer battery using products are used and more charged, the more the battery health drops. My iPhone 14 pro max battery health dropped quickly as approaching time on iPhone 15 release date, which was about 1 year of usage with once a day of full cycle of charging.

I am sayning this because I think something could be wrong with my 14+ !!!
Some of my friends have:
iphone 11, 7 months old , battery health at 100%
iphone 13, 5 months old , battery health at 100%
iphone 13, 2.5 months old , battery health at 100%

I have seen it with my very own eyes!!!

The good news is the battery in the 15 is supposed to be easier to change. A giant leap forward for Apple.

I had contacted AppleCare because my launch day 14 Pro starting having overheating issues back in August and they swapped it…but at the time of swap my battery health was at 87% in less than a year. I have NEVER had an iPhone drop like that before. My husband is using my launch day 13 pro and the battery health on that was 88% with an extra year of use on it.

I’m watching my replacement like a hawk and have stopped wireless charging. We’ll see how it goes.

My less than 3 month old 14 pro max is down to 98% already. Batteries on these newer iphones aren't the quality of the older ones.
