iPhone 3G display 'bright spot'

Maybe there's a more technically correct term but I'm concerned at a bright spot on the display of my new iPhone. Holding it in portrait, as you wold to make a call, the bottom right of the screen is brighter than the rest of the screen. You cannot notice this much of the time as the screen is lit white for many screens on a dark background, this is quite distracting. Anyone else getting this issue or have any advice for me?

Boxing

I think I'm going to box up my phone for return. I contacted o2 so we'll what they say but based on their current promise that all customers would be supplied 'by the end of the summer' I don't think a replacement phone is going to be available any time soon. Not good.
