iPhone iPhone 4 unlock using gevey sim

Hi everyone ..
please help me on my iPhone 4
I'm currently using version 5.1 with 02.10 baseband and Gevey sim to unlock the phone it was initially bought from Japan.
the iPhone is working but there's some minor problems
I CAN'T USE MY FACETIME and CANT ADD MUSIC through itunes.
I already used 3 diff computers win7 64/32 bit winXP
but still no luck

Now, I'm planning to update the iOS version to 5.1.1 so that the Gevey sim will still work
but I don't know how..

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY SITUATION!??????? ..

Gevey sim is illegal and can permanently damage the iPhone. I would get an IMEI unlock...
