Hey guys, need help here please. New to the iphone 5s (with iOS 7) from a friend who has been using the iphone 6 in Japan for quite sometime now. The ip5s i got is locked to a carrier. Upon getting back to the philippines, a friend gave me an rsim - supposedly the rsim 9 pro. from my research online, the rsim has its disadvantages but is definitely a cheaper option compared to afull unlock. I got the rsim 9 pro and it works very fine, however, I would like to upgrade the iOS 7 to iOS 8. So these are my questions -
1. can the iphone 5s using rsim 9 pro be upgraded to iOS 8?
2. is the ios 8.4 still upgradable as of now?
3. I hear the ios 9 will be out soon, but from research i found out that it will take sometime before an rsim can be available for that.
I have the ipad and really like the way that the ios 8 gives you more functionality and a better user experience compared to ios 7. will appreciate all the advice i can get. thanks guys!
