iPhone 7/Plus Iphone 7 Plus Support Confusion

Dear Colleagues,

Can someone tell me when iOS support and security updates will finish for the Iphone 7 Plus ?.
I've looked on the internet and there is confusion in the answers provided.
Is it 5 years from when the iphone 7 Plus was released (2016)? or 5 years from when the iphone 7 Plus was discontinued (2019)?.
(I'm an android user and want to jump on to iOS and the stability and security it provides)

Apple doesn't provide dates. We can only guess if iOS 15 will support iPhone 7.

Only Apple knows. If you want to be covered as long as possible get a new device.
