My mum has just got a refurbished iPhone 8... it's fine EXCEPT that it won't vibrate when it rings even if it's set to - although the haptics are working.

Any suggestions or are we just going to have to send it back...?

Thanks

My question would be refurbished by whom? Was it Apple or an authorized repair center? If these links don't help, then I'd recommend returning it.

Well it turned out it was the "third" vibrate options..

1. you need to check Vibrate is turned on the Accessibility
2. you need to make sure it's se to Vibrate when Silent
3. you need to make sure a vibration profile is assigned to your ringtone, in this case it was set to "none", and changing that solved the issue.

It was refurbished by Amazon, or at least a company on behalf of Amazon, it's one of those "Amazon Renewed" ones where you still get a 1 year warranty.
