After using the iPhone 8 plus for a few days I noticed that the phone often stays on the lock screen when I press the home button to wake and unlock it. I'm very used to unlocking the iPad Pro this way and this is why I noticed the difference on the 8 plus.
The iPad Pro always manage to unlock this way, but the iPhone 8+ stays locked a lot more often. It never says "try again" on the 8 plus, which means that those weren't failed scans, but rather the sensor has not performed a scan yet, since I have tried this with unregistered fingers and no "try again" comes up either.

I have tried cleaning the sensor, cleaning my fingers, resetting touch ID and re-scanning the fingers and force restart, none of that helped.

iPad Pro is running 10.3.3
iPhone 8 plus is running 11.1.1
(if that matters)

Anyone else having similar experience? Or any thoughts in general?

(I recorded a short video for this but I can't seem to upload a .mp4 file, "The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension." ?)
