I've had my 8+ for just over 3 years and it has been a great phone. I'm curious what people think is the smartest option between these two.
1) sell 8+ and buy the 12 mini. If I sell now the 8+ is worth roughly $325. That gets me a smaller phone which I prefer with a better camera. I do not care about 5G for the next 12 months.
2) wait a year and buy what is new in 2021. I keep my phone (which I'm happy with except for its size) and pay more next year.

What would you do?

Which carrier are you with?
AT&T and Verizon will both give you trade-in credits greater than $325.
Thats the way to go if you’re not someone who upgrades every year.

T-Mobile. When I bought the 8+ three years ago I got $300 in credits from them so I ended up paying $650 for the phone.

I’m selling mine in the next few days. I live the phone especially because of Touch ID during the pandemic but it’s time to go lol
