My mum's phone has all of a sudden gone SOS 3 weeks after she passed away, Dad was going to use it but can't get any service. He has been to 2 different telcos including the one they got it from and tried new SIM cards to no avail, re set network settings. They say it's stuffed.
Has been backed up and latest update done, tried the volume up/down then power off numerous times.
Only thing we havn't done is re set to factory and set up as new. I got my sister to do all the above. would that resolve it?
Wifi works fine and everything else just has the SOS on top and won't make calls, for awhile it was hit and miss for a week and the telco said was cause they were upgrading to 5G in the area but that has finished.
