iphone apps on ipad

When an iPhone app is installed on the iPad does it scale to fit the iPad or can you view it at the same resolutions as on the iphone? I think if you could have multiple windows of iPhone apps running it would be cool.

It is the same size as the iPhone app and looks silly to be honest. You can 2x zoom the app to almost fit the screen but them the app looks pretty bad. I deleted every iPhone app off my iPad if that tells you anything
