So my iPhone 8's rear camera decide to quit couple days ago. So I am left with a iPhone without ability to take photo.

Searched iPhone 8 camera rear camera unit on Aliexpress, selling for 50 dollars a pop. Checked with local cellphone repair store, the cheapest I can do is around 90CAD.

I haven't yet check with Apple Store. Ontario is in lock down where all non-essential trips are prohibited. And I don't really want take risk of lining up in front of Apple Store. Contacted Apple Support, they asked me to book an appointment with Apple Store.

Essentially, I am asking is that if Apple Store would replace rear camera or it is whole phone swap. Apparently it is $499 dollars to for "other damages". Has anyone done camera replacement before?

It is so weird that the rear camera suddenly just decided to crap out...
