New with iOS 15 upgrade

iPhone connects to network but no indication of such in home screen so I have no way to judge signal strength.

In setting I can turn off Airplane mode and the carrier icon shows up - connect is fine. When switching to the home screen it shows airplane mode.
However when I open an app that uses the network the icon is there.

Same for the WiFi icon.

Took me awhile to find 'Reset Network" but that seems to have worked.

Just happened again.

Wi-Fi has been turned on but no icon showing such except when using an app.
Also the Airplane icon is present except when using certain programs.

I found rather that re-set I was able to simply turn off the phone and then back on and all is back to normal [for now].
