Just started to use my iPhone (15+) to scan documents (using the Scan Documents option in Files), save to iCloud and then open on my MacMini. It seemed to work really well. However, I have found that .pdf contents are not searchable by Spotlight when I do this.
If I open Preview and then scan using the iPhone then no problem, all content searchable.
Equally, if I open the scanned .pdf and then export from Preview then Spotlight is also able to search the contents.
If I open a Note on the iPhone and then scan document to this then Spotlight is able to search the document inside Notes, but if I export the file then it is not searchable...
This seems odd to me as scanning with the phone without Preview is really useful, and using the File function is more useful to me than creating a Note each time.
Is there a setting I am missing? Thanks!
