iPhone 8/Plus iphone Freeze

Occasionally my iPhone freezers when I am on Safari browser us thus due to the last update? or a rogue App?.

Try deleting all history and website data in Settings/Safari

Since you mentioned zero troubleshooting, try to restart the device.
